Your rights and how to contact the Danish National ID Centre

In the event that your personal information is processed by the Danish National ID Centre, you have certain rights. Please contact the Danish National ID Centre for further information.

Disclosure/right to information

In certain cases the Danish National ID Centre must inform you, if your personal information is collected or received. Please, consult the links on your left hand side to be informed under which circumstances you are entitled to a right to disclosure/information. As an example, the Centre collects your e-mail address when you create a login to the website or when you subscribe to the Centre’s newsletters.

Rectification/right to correction

The Danish National ID Centre must process accurate and up-to-date data. You have the right to obtain the rectification of inaccurate data without undue delay. The Danish National ID Centre is only able to correct information within the Centre’s own files and databases. Please contact the Danish National ID Centre, if you wish to exercise your right to correct your personal data.

Right to erasure (Right to be forgotten)

Under specific circumstances you can obtain the erasure of your personal data. However, as a public authority, the Centre is obliged by law to keep record of this processing for a certain time. Please, consult the Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) website for further information concerning your rights.

To process your inquiry, it is imperative that the Danish National ID Centre can identify you unambiguously. To this effect, in addition to providing your full name, you may also refer to a case number, enter your full address or enter your social security number.

Complaint to the Data Protection Agency
